Stepping away from what was comfortable helped me see just what I have to offer the world, and how I can use those strengths in new ways to make a real impact.

When someone close to you passes, it leads to a lot of reflection about life and how you spend your time. And for me, that came after my dad passed. Amidst the grief, I realized that I wasn’t very happy in my career anymore. I had worked in occupational therapy for years, doing everything from working with adults, then kids, and then managing teams in the school systems. And for a long time, I loved what I did because I was really helping people. But with time, I was ready for a new challenge, a new direction.
Just a few years prior, a friend of mine had gotten into real estate. It sounded really fun the more I learned about it, and it was the completely new path I was searching for while still centered around helping people. It made me reflect on our own experiences with real estate and how much it changed our lives.

When we were living in Arizona while my husband attended grad school, we had been renting and were ready to find a new place—maybe a house we could rent. While searching for a place, someone asked us, “Why don’t you consider buying?” And sure enough, we were able to buy our first home there. I remember how impactful that feeling was to have something of our own, and in the process, build equity we could one day use for our future family home.

Despite the personal connection I felt to real estate, I decided to wait. With three young daughters, my husband and I had agreed it made sense to wait until they were older before I tried real estate. In February 2020, I switched jobs within occupational therapy, and the day I started, the world shut down due to COVID. Three months later, I was laid off. At the time, it was stressful, and there was a lot of uncertainty, but it turned out to be the push I needed to get into real estate.
I signed up for one of the first fully online real estate courses. From there, I planned to have a slow first year as I learned the ins and outs. I joined my friend’s team, did open houses, and worked with online leads. I ended up working on eight transactions that first year—it kick-started my career and gave me a chance to be a problem solver amid unprecedented times.

Years of working with families in schools had taught me how to handle complex, emotional situations and communicate with people who were stressed, overwhelmed, or just needed someone to walk them through a long, often difficult process. Connecting with people, being empathetic, and really being there for them is at the heart of who I am and how I show up for others. And in making the transition to this career, I’ve grown to appreciate those skills even more and the impact they enable me to make on the lives of others.

I’ve been through many of the same life transitions my clients are facing, so I understand how emotional and financially complex buying or selling a home can be. When I can help someone get to the finish line and have a place to settle in for their next chapter, it’s incredibly fulfilling. That’s what makes this work so meaningful to me.
Family is really important to me, and likely a big part of why I take this work so personally. My husband and I have been together for 29 years. We are very proud of our daughters. Grace is in grad school at UPenn studying cancer biology, Haley is finishing her master’s in accounting at UGA, and Natalie is a senior in high school and involved in theater tech. My mother also lives with us now, keeping us all very close. And in our free time, my husband and I love playing pickleball (he even captains our neighborhood league), and we enjoy traveling when we get the chance!

Whether you’re buying your first home, going through a major life transition, or simply ready for a change, I’m here to walk you through it. I’ve helped people navigate the emotions, uncertainty, and pressure that often come with real estate decisions. My role is to make the process feel clear and manageable, breaking things down step by step and making sure you never feel like you’re in this alone. I want every client to feel supported, informed, and confident from beginning to end.
For buyers, I focus on education, strong communication, and connecting you with excellent lenders so you can make informed decisions. I stay involved and proactive throughout the process, coordinating with all parties to keep things on track and ensure you have everything you need to enter the next chapter. For sellers, I offer honest pricing advice, help with house prep and staging needs, and bring in professional photography and video to show the home at its best. Every situation brings its own nuances. I meet those needs with a customized approach and, when appropriate, take extra steps by involving trusted professionals to provide deeper support and peace of mind.
What matters most to me is demystifying homeownership, creating clear pathways to help you reach your goals, and being a trusted partner long after the closing.
Sincerely,
